Making Port in NSW a Timeshare holiday

  • Isabel Croker
  • August 13, 2019

Ahoy land lubbers! Summer is the perfect time to get yourself a pair of sea legs, and there's no better way to do that then by making port at a couple of New South Wales' most picturesque holiday destinations. Port Stephens and Port Macquarie are both located on the stunning east coast a few hours north of Sydney. Make port in New South Wales with a Wyndham Timeshare Holiday.

That's not all they have in common though - stunning white sand beaches, great food and exhilarating activities are all on offer, along with Wyndham resorts that make for the perfect bases to explore the areas. Let's take a look at what makes these two destinations so fantastic.

Port Stephens

Located a bit closer to the big cities, Port Stephens is an hour north of Newcastle and is widely considered one of the most exciting and adventurous places to visit on the NSW coast. This is largely down to the many different options available to vacationers, with scuba diving, surfing, hiking and snorkelling just a few examples. There are also an impressive 26 different beaches to check out, so you'll always be able to find either a quiet spot to relax or a bustling area where you can step outside your comfort zone and swim with dolphins - the choice is up to you.

Along with the dolphins, Port Stephens is also a great place to search for koalas in the nearby rainforest - or perhaps even on the par 72, 18-hole championship golf course! Make Club Wyndham Port Stephens your home for a week and treat yourself to a Pandora's box of experiences

Port Macquarie

Further up the coastline on the Hastings River is Port Macquarie, which is widely regarded as one of Australia's very best holiday hot spots. Despite this, the area remains unspoiled and a great example of Australia's natural beauty. There aren't as many beaches at Port Stephens (a measly 17!), but the region more than makes up for that with river cruises, the Koala Hospital and a unique local cuisine that draws on local vineyards and some of the freshest seafood you'll ever eat.

Club Wyndham Port Macquarie is just five minutes’ walk to the centre of town, so you'll never be short of different ways to spend your day. That is, if you can drag yourself away from the resort's pool, games room or barbecue area!
