Timeshare Review: “A Wonderful Time in WA”

  • Isabel Croker
  • August 13, 2019

My parents and I had a wonderful time recently when we had the opportunity for a 2 week stay at Club Wyndham Dunsborough (WA).

We had never been to WA before and we would highly recommend it to all Club Wyndham South Pacific owners!  Such a beautiful region of Australia and you truly relax while enjoying the many sites (and wineries lol) in the Margaret River region.

Busselton Jetty (just 10km away from the resort) was definitely a highlight of our trip.  We rode the little train along the 2km jetty and alighted to view the underwater observatory.  It was such a clear day that the tour guides told us that we have 13 metres visibility on the ocean floor.  What a breathtaking site being on the floor of the ocean, watching the fish swim by. We saw a large school of salmon swim past flanked by another large school of small fish. A starfish had decided to attach itself to the glass of the observatory too.  It is rare that you get to see underneath a live starfish!

We toured the lighthouse at Cape Nautraliste and went underground to view the amazing Ngilgi Cave.  What a wonderful Dreamtime legend that explains this beautiful limestone cave. We also did a grounds tour of the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse at Augusta and just loved standing on the rocks were the Southern Ocean and the Indian Ocean meet.

The many wineries, breweries, cheese factories, local produce stores, ice creameries and chocolate factories kept us well fed and amused.  Our favourite “food” town was definitely Cowaramup! There are amazing cow statues all over the Margaret River region (after hosting a parade a few years ago) but Cowaramup had placed them everywhere and they nicknamed their town “Cowtown”! My Dad particularly enjoyed the Eagle Bay Brewing Co where he enjoyed a “tasting plate” of their beers.

I can only urge all Club Wyndham owners to travel to Dunsborough and allow at least 2 weeks to really see all the sites and taste the amazing food and wine of that region.

The staff at the resort (like all Wyndham resorts we have stayed at) were exceptional.  Extremely helpful and informative and non-intrusive.  Thank you to all the staff we met and who helped make our stay a memorable experience.

Laurie,

Wyndham Timeshare Owner since 2002
