TIMESHARE 101
How does timeshare work? A timeshare is a property with a particular form of Ownership or use rights. These properties are typically resort apartments, in which multiple parties hold rights to use the property.
Wyndham Worldwide introduced their own Vacation Ownership Program which are based on credit systems.
Credit systems offer credits to purchasers which are a share in a Vacation Ownership Club and are sold with a right to use the Club’s services for a certain number of years. The number of Credits a purchaser buys in a Vacation Ownership Club represents the level of entitlement that purchaser has in the Vacation Ownership Club.
The timeshare Owner in a credit system can then use these credits to make travel arrangements within the Vacation Ownership Club.

WHAT ARE THEY?
How does Wyndham timeshare work? When you join the Club, you “own” a specific amount of Vacation Credits, …for example; 10,000 credits. Vacation Credits are used as the currency to book your holidays. Your Credits have a lifespan of 2 years. Each year for the lifetime of your timeshare Ownership, your account is awarded with the full number of Credits you own for that year.
SAVE OR BORROW
Don’t worry if your don’t have enough Vacation Credits to book that long awaited getaway, you have options with Wyndham Timeshare.
Owners can choose to save or borrow Credits from past or the upcoming year to increase holiday options in the current year.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
As well as Vacation Credits, Owners are entitled to fantastic cash rates. Bonus Time and Fun Time are perfect for last minute, short holidays or adding to an existing booking to extend your stay.
BOOKING WITH YOUR VACATION CREDITS
Let’s look at how many credits you will need to book your holiday? The number of credits required to book a particular resort will be determined by the following factors:
1. RESORT LOCATION
The credit price varies with the location of the resort you would like to book.
2. TIME OR YEAR
The season that you wish to book in. Red (high season), White (shoulder season) or Blue (low season)
3. ROOM TYPE
The Apartment size you desire (e.g. studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom).
4. DAY OF THE WEEK
The days of the week you will be reserving for your stay at the resort.
